Edward Ness, 114th Fighter Wing Civil Engineer Squadron, use a wooden spacer to adjust the perlins before fastening them to the trusses July 2. McClamma and an engineering apprentice from the 556th were sent over to help the 114th and see firsthand the installation of the trusses before returning to the Nieuw Amsterdam Clinic where the 556th is preparing to install trusses at that clinic. Civil engineers from the Air Force Reserve and Air National Guard are constructing two clinics in the Commewijne District of Suriname in support of exercise New Horizons. New Horizons is a cooperative effort between the government of Suriname and the United States Southern Command.
