Maj. Gen. William S. Lee, Commanding General for the 3rd Medical Command (Deployment Support), and the only physician in Marion, Ala., with a clinic specializing in family medicine, addresses Alabama and Florida Army Recruiters as the guest speaker during the Alabama Recruiting Partnership Council (R2PC). Maj. Gen. Lee shared tips for recruiting young medical professionals into the Army Reserve. "What attracts young professionals now, is the opportunity for elite professional engagement in their fields," said Lee. Maj. Gen. Lee also encouraged recruiters to highlight opportunities other than monetary incentives, such as opportunities to see and treat medical issues abroad that are uncommon in the U.S.
