Army Reserve Ambassador (Emeritus) Norbert J. Rappl, a retired major general who has more than 50 years of service to the nation, receives the Commanders Public Service Commendation Medal from Maj. Gen. Troy D. Kok, commanding general of the Army Reserve’s 99th Readiness Division, during a Recruiting Reserve Partnership Council meeting March 17 in Syracuse, New York. Rappl is stepping away from his ambassador role, having been part of the Army Reserve Ambassador Program since it was established in 1998 to promote awareness of the Army Reserve.
