MEDITERRANEAN SEA (March 9, 2018) U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Logan Terry, right, a mortarman assigned to Battalion Landing Team, 2nd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit conducts a counter to forward strike technique on Lance Cpl. Justin Heimbach, a mortarman with the unit, during a Marine Corps Martial Arts Program (MCMAP) green belt advancement class aboard the San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock USS New York (LPD 21) March 9, 2018. MCMAP teaches Marines techniques they can utilize in hand-to-hand combat to increase their lethality and combat readiness. U.S. 6th Fleet, headquartered in Naples, Italy, conducts the full spectrum of joint and naval operations, often in concert with allied and interagency partners, in order to advance U.S. national interests and security and stability in Europe and Africa.
