Hundreds of streams of bright fireworks light up the sky for station residents and Japanese locals to enjoy at Penny Lake July 5. Every year, Marine Corps Community Services hosts a fireworks display to celebrate Independence Day, which the U.S. has continued to celebrate for 235 years. Due to heavy rain on July 4, the fireworks display was moved to July 5.
