The Corps is leveraging resources to urgently and efficiently restore reliable power to the people of Puerto Rico, while acting as a responsible steward of the island’s natural resources. After building a road to facilitate the repair of a critical transmission line through San Juan, crews are removing the road and working to restore critical habitat in the mangrove swamp. Electrical debris taken down by Hurricane Maria, like this piece of insulator, is among the material that will be removed.
