Marines of 1st Combat Engineer Battalion bow their heads during a memorial ceremony at San Mateo, July 1. The memorial service was held to honor the four Marines of 1st CEB who were killed during the unit's deployment to Afghanistan. 1st CEB was joined by Marines of 3rd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, and family and friends of the fallen Marines to bid a final farewell to Lance Cpl.
