MEDITERRANEAN SEA (March 28, 2018) U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Justin Morrison, a machine gunner assigned to Battalion Landing Team, 2nd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit fires his M4 carbine rifle during a deck shoot aboard the San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock USS New York (LPD 21) March 28, 2018. Marines and Sailors maintain their weapons skills by regularly conducting weapon familiarization classes and deck shoot while deployed to U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations. U.S. 6th Fleet, headquartered in Naples, Italy, conducts the full spectrum of joint and naval operations, often in concert with allied and interagency partners, in order to advance U.S. national interests and security and stability in Europe and Africa.
