Medical teams from the Royal Australian Air Force Air Medical Team, 3rd Health Support Battlion, AQ Force Command, and U.S. Sailors from the 3rd Medical Battalion, part of III Marine Expeditionary Force, based in Okinawa, Japan, perform the 'two-man winch' rescue from a UH-60 Blackhawk from 5th Avaition Regiment out of Townsville, Queensland, hovering over a grass field at Camp Rocky in Rockhampton. The rescue training qualifications are a part of Talisman Sabre 2011. TS11 is a biennial combined training activity designed to train Australian and U.S. forces in planning and conducting Combined Task Force operations to improve ADF/U.S. combat readiness and interoperability. It reflects the closeness of the alliance and the strength and flexibility of the ongoing military-military relationship.
