Tanzanian People's Defense Force Maj. Gen. S.S. Omar, Chief of the TPDF Navy, sits with U.S. Military Academy Cadet 1st Class Jake Darsey and U.S. Naval Academy Midshipman 1st Class Patrick Bagnick, June 17, discussing how future junior officers will shape their militaries in the future. Twelve students from the military academies travelled to Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, at the invitation of the Tanzanian government to visit TPDF junior officers and exchange training philosophies, best practices on leadership styles and introduce the junior officers to one another to facilitate future working relationships.
