180409-N-XK809-362 WHITE BEACH, Okinawa (April 9, 2018) Aviation Boatswain’s Mate (Fuel) Airman Anthony Jones, from Compton, Calif., winds a fuel hose aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6) as the ship arrives at White Beach Naval Facility for a scheduled port visit. Bonhomme Richard is in Okinawa as a final visit after six years of being forward-deployed to Japan and to host Okinawa citizens for ship tours during White Beach Festival 2018. The White Beach Festival is jointly hosted by Commander, Fleet Activities Okinawa (CFAO) and Japanese Maritime Self Defense Force, Sub-Area Activity Okinawa (SAAO) to reciprocate the hospitality the Okinawa community extends to U.S. forces stationed there.
