U.S. Marine Cpl. Lauren Song, an air crewman with Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron 152, Marine Aircraft Group 12, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, releases units of blood during an air delivery drop at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, Ariz., March 28, 2018. There were five different packaging variations used for the air delivery. Each used materials from the Authorized Medical and Dental Allowance List and a special insulated box called a ‘Collins’ box; these variations also included numerous parachute configurations. The purpose of the exercise was to test the viability of blood samples being transported by air delivery. (U.S. Marine Corps Photo by Cpl. Kyle McNan)
