A member of the Patriot Guard Riders of North Carolina holds a POW/MIA flag during Col. Edgar Davis’ funeral ceremony April 6, 2018, in Goldsboro, North Carolina. After being shot down over Laos during the Vietnam War in 1968, a Laotian villager buried Davis’ remains. In 2015, the villager’s son reached out regarding the location of the remains and the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency recovered Davis’ remains in 2017.
