Lance Cpl. Kolene Paige-Porcher, a Marine Attack Squadron 513 avionics technician and Summerville, S.C., native, performs maintenance on one of the squadron's AV-8B Harriers at Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan, July 16. Paige-Porcher had only been with the squadron - her first in the active Marine force - for about two weeks before deploying to Afghanistan. "It's intimidating but exciting at the same time," she said. "I get to learn the whole aircraft instead of one part."
