U.S. 5TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (April 7, 2018) U.S. Marines assigned to the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), are transported on a U.S. Navy landing craft, utility during shore-to-ship operations in the U.S. 5th Fleet Area of Operations. The 26th MEU trains to sustain expeditionary readiness across a range of critical capabilities both afloat and ashore in order to be prepared to respond to crisis in the U.S. 5th Fleet Area of Operations.
