U.S. 5TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (April 13, 2018) Boatswain’s Mate 2nd Class Isiah Tolin and Boatswain’s Mate 2nd Class Ezra McFadden observe as the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7) approaches the fleet replenishment oiler USNS Big Horn (T-AO 198) during a replenishment-at-sea. Iwo Jima, homeported in Mayport, Fla., is on a regularly scheduled deployment to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of maritime security operations to reassure allies and partners, and preserve the freedom of navigation and the free flow of commerce in the region.
