"Bo" Temple, acting chief of engineers and acting commanding general of USACE, surveys the expedited debris removal area here, July 19. It’s estimated that more than 6,900 homes were destroyed and an additional 875 damaged when an EF-5 tornado struck here, May 22. Gornick is deployed here from the Corps' Portland District in Oregon and Davis is deployed from the Kansas City District.
