The ceremony marked the completion of renovations for the hangar, which has been around since WWII, and sustained some setbacks due to Hurricane Harvey. Lanceta said the renovations have made Hangar 43 a state-of-the-art facility that will, “increase efficiency and decrease turnaround time.” Lanceta said the project was, “a huge accomplishment for the entire team, CCAD and the Army Corps of Engineers and the Navy.”
