Petty Officer 2nd Class Andrew Evanch, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 26, hugs his girlfriend after delivering the game ball before a baseball game between the Detroit Tigers and the Oakland Athletics. Evanch received a standing ovation for his role in support of Operation New Dawn. The event was part of Navy Night at Comerica Park during Detroit Navy Week, one of 21 Navy Weeks held across the country. Navy Weeks are designed to showcase the investment Americans have made in their Navy and increase awareness in cities that do not have a significant Navy presence.
