Marines from Combat Logistics Battalion 31, Combat Logistics Regiment 37, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, III Marine Expeditionary Force, based in Okinawa, Japan, unload from a landing craft, air cushioned from the USS Germantown during the July 19, amphibious landing at Shoalwater Bay Training Area in Queensland in support of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit during Talisman Sabre 2011. The amphibious landing is part of the force on force portion of TS11. TS11 is an exercise designed to train U.S. and Australian forces to plan and conduct Combined Task Force operations to improve combat readiness and interoperability on a variety of missions from conventional conflict to peacekeeping and humanitarian assistance efforts.
