An Iraqi security forces leader signs for medical equipment received from U.S. military members to support their operations at Al Taqaddum, Iraq, April 9, 2018. The U.S. provides training and equipment to vetted Iraqi security forces through the National Defense Authorization Act; Iraq Train and Equip Fund. Training and equipment is in support of the Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve mission to defeat and deny ISIS safe haven by creating and enabling Iraqi forces to defend and secure their country from terrorism.
