Jeffrey Vanpelt, an automated logistical specialist, warrant officer candidate and native of Bardolph, Illinois, assigned to the 342nd Chemical Company, 472nd Chemical Battalion, 209th Regional Support Group, 76th Operational Response Command fires rounds at a target with a M9 pistol during a qualification course on Fort Devens, Massachusetts April 18, as he competes in a multi-command Best Warrior Competition. The event was part of the annual Best Warrior Competition held here April 16-20 as the 76th Operational Response Command, 412th Theater Engineer Command, 416th Theater Engineer Command and the 99th Division (Readiness) hosted a joint competition to seek out their very best Soldiers to compete in the U.S. Army Reserve Command’s Best Warrior Competition at Fort Bragg, North Carolina in June.
