A U.S. Marine with 1st Explosive Ordnance Disposal Company, 7th Engineer Support Battalion, 1st Marine Logistics Group, uses a pickaxe to dig a hole in which composition C-4 and trinitrotoluene (TNT) chargers will be placed during the Post-Blast Analysis Course at Camp Pendleton, Calif., April 11, 2018. To show how terrain and the placement of ordnance effects the outcome of the craters during the post-blast analysis explosive chargers are placed in different areas.
