Marines with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit improved their precision and ability to fire quickly after sighting in at short range. BLT 1/1, the Ground Combat Element of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, is an infantry battalion reinforced with light-armored vehicles, artillery, combat engineers, and assault amphibious vehicles.
