Maj. Gen. James K. “Red” Brown, Deputy Commanding General, Army National Guard, U.S. Army Forces Command and former 36th Infantry Division commander, received the Order of Saint George Silver Medallion on April 25, 2018 at Camp Mabry in Austin, Texas. The silver medallion is awarded to officers and noncommissioned officers who reach retirement after 20 or more years of service to the Cavalry or Armor branch. The 36th Assistant Division Commander – Operations, Brig. Gen. Patrick Hamilton, presided over the ceremony that symbolizes bravery, dedication to faith and decency for a mounted Soldier. In 1986, the U.S. Armor Association established the Honorable Order of Saint George to recognize the very best tankers and cavalrymen among its members. (U.S. Army National Guard photo by Master Sgt.
