U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Daisy Salas, Bremerton, Wash., deployed with the 36th Expeditionary Contingency Response Squadron, Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, conducts pre-jump, or airborne sustainment, training with members from the 36th ECRS during Talisman Sabre 2011. Salas reads a checklist of each movement the jumper must perform before, during, and after they leave the aircraft. Talisman Sabre 2011 is an exercise designed to train U.S. and Australian forces to plan and conduct combined task force operations to improve combat readiness and interoperability on a variety of missions from conventional conflict to peacekeeping and humanitarian efforts.
