Pfc. Nicholas A. White, satellite operator, Marine Wing Communications Squadron 18, Marine Air Control Group 18, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, III Marine Expeditionary Force, collects water from a field-expedient water purification system during the jungle survival course, a five-day survival course, at the Jungle Warfare Training Center July 18. The three-tiered purification system was composed of a top layer of grass, a middle layer of sand and a bottom layer of charcoal.
