A new Marine with Bravo Company, 1st Recruit Training Battalion, descends a rope during the rappel tower event at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, April 27. This event instills confidence into Marines and recruits by allowing them to descend a 60-foot tower. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Bravo Company is scheduled to graduate May 4.
