Soldiers from the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit competed in the 2018 U.S. Practical Shooting Association Multigun Nationals in Las Vegas, Nevada April 18-22. After the 3-day, 14 stage competition that required a pistol, shotgun and rifle, the Soldiers proved their marksmanship skills. Sgt. 1st Class Joel Turner, an Anderson, South Carolina native, placed 2nd in the Open Division and 3rd overall against 267 other competitors. PV2 Nathan Staskiewicz, an Omaha, Nebraska native, claimed the title of 2018 USPSA National Limited Division Champion. Staff Sgt. Tyler Payne, an Princeton, Minnesota native, claimed the title of 2018 USPSA National Heavy Metal Division Champion. Sgt. 1st Class Daniel Horner, a Suffolk, Virginia native, claimed his 10th title of USPSA National Tactical Optics Division Champion, and overall winner against 267 other competitors.
