Cpl. Van Luong, Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 13 flight equipment technician, packs a seat pan in the paraloft at the Marine Corps Air Station in Yuma, Ariz., July 21, 2011. The seat pan is an emergency survival kit for ejected Harrier pilots. In addition to 11 survival items, the kit also contains a one-man life raft, as well as an oxygen cylinder with approximately 10 minutes of breathable air and a radio beacon which emits a signal for rescue. Luong works in the Bravo shop of the paraloft, which is one of three sections that ensures station Harrier pilots’ gear is functioning correctly.
