Sgt. 1st Class Brian Lancey, platoon sergeant attached to Laghman Provincial Reconstruction Team, fires his m4 rifle at insurgents while simultaneously directing his team over the radio while on a clearing operation at Joint Readiness Training Center, Fort Polk, La., May 20. Air Force and Army personnel have come together from across the globe to train together for a unique mission in Afghanistan. Their mission is to help the local people and government transition to a country led by Afghans.
