As the base is being attacked, soldiers assigned to Battery C, 3rd Battalion, 321st Field Artillery Regiment, 18th Fires Brigade, attached to 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, Task Force Bronco, run to their M777A2 howitzer guns to return fire at Combat Outpost Honaker-Miracle in eastern Afghanistan's Kunar province, July 30. In spite of being out in the open, the soldiers returned fire as rounds impacted around them.
