Lt. Gen. Gwen Bingham, now U.S. Army assistant chief of staff for installation management, speaks during the rededication ceremony May 1 for the headquarters building for 266th Quartermaster Battalion. The building bears the name Maj. Gen. Fred C. Sheffey, who commanded the unit in 1966 in Vietnam. After it was inactivated in 1973, the 1st Battalion, Quartermaster School, was redesignated as the 266th QM Bn. in 1987. Bingham commanded the unit herself in the early 2000s.
