FORT BENNING, Ga. (May 10, 2018) -- Master Sgt. Rebecca Barnes, the operations noncommissioned officer for 1st Battalion, 46th Infantry Regiment, leads a group of female students and encourages the group to set goals to help out more in their local neighborhoods. Soldiers from the 1st Battalion, 46th Infantry Regiment, at Fort Benning, Georgia, provided students with advice on how to set and achieve their goals over the summer break during a "Girls in Pearls, Guys in Ties" forum at Midland Middle School in Columbus, Georgia, May 9. The event was a part of Fort Benning's Partners in Education Program, which promotes partnerships between military units and schools within the surrounding communities.
