Weidley, commanding general, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, ride in an MV-22 Osprey on their way to Naval Base Camilo Osias, Santa Ana, Cagayan, Philippines as part of Exercise Balikatan 2018, May 10, 2018. They are on their way to visit the Underwater Construction Team 2 and Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 5 to observe their interoperability efforts. Exercise Balikatan, in its 34th iteration, is an annual U.S.-Philippine military training focused on a variety of missions, including humanitarian assistance and disaster relief, counterterrorism, and other combined military operations held from May 7 to May 18.
