NAVAL BASE KITSAP-BREMERTON, Wash. (May, 7, 2018) Cmdr. Jeremy Braud, from Slidell, La., touches the ships lightning rod, which is the highest point of the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68), May 7, 2018. Nimitz is conducting a docking planned incremental availability at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility where the ship is receiving scheduled maintenance and upgrades.
