MCAS FUTENMA, OKINAWA, Japan – Lance Cpl. Elijah Davis walks out onto the flight line with a handheld anemometer May 15 aboard Marine Corps Air Station Futenma, Okinawa, Japan. The handheld anemometer is used to determine wind speed and direction. Meteorology and oceanology Marines use this in conjunction with visual observations to determine the weather condition.
