Mark Rosen, the head volleyball coach at the University of Michigan, fires an AT-4 in the Indoor Simulated Marksmanship Trainer (ISMT) during Marine Corps Recruiting Command’s 2018 Coaches Workshop aboard Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia, May 17, 2018. The workshop educates approximately 50 collegiate coaches from across the nation about essential Marine Corps leadership skills and programs that they can share with their student athletes based on first-hand experiences. Rosen is a member of the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA), an organization that educates volleyball coaches, recognizes elite players and coaches, and promotes volleyball competitions and networking opportunities for volleyball members. The Marine Corps partners with AVCA to inspire coaches via Marine Corps leadership styles and characteristics, creating brand advocates among the organization’s key influencers.
