A U.S. Marine assigned to the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit, fast ropes from an MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter attached to Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 28, to the flight deck of the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7), during a fast rope exercise in the 5th Fleet Area of Operations, May 21, 2018. The Iwo Jima was deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of maritime security operations to reassure allies and partners, and preserve the freedom of navigation and the free flow of commerce in the region.
