KOTA KINABALU, Malaysia (May 23, 2018) Vice Adm. Phil Sawyer, commander U.S. 7th Fleet, inspects sailors of the Royal Malaysian Navy during an office call with Vice Adm. Dato’ Syed Zahiruddin Putra Bin Osman, commander of the Eastern Fleet, Royal Malaysian Navy as part of bilateral staff talks and round table discussions with the combined staff during the 2018 U.S. 7th Fleet Theater Security Cooperation (TSC) patrol. More than 60 Sailors and Marines from U.S. 7th Fleet staff are currently embarked on USNS Millinocket (T-EPF 3) as part of the TSC patrol and will visit several countries in the Indo-Pacific in the coming weeks.
