Army Reserve Sgt. 1st Class James Artz, a motor sergeant and native of Grand Junction, Colorado, assigned to the 340th Chemical Company, 450th Chemical Battalion, 209th Regional Support Group, 76th Operational Response Command, puts the spring back into a M2 .50-caliber machine gun at the first ever Sabot Academy in White Settlement, Texas May 19. The four-day academy covers a variety of basic and advanced gunnery skills and knowledge, and is designed to better prepare students for the extremely challenging master gunnery common core course at Fort Benning, Georgia.
