Capt. Sean P. Cunningham (far right), a fire control team leader with 1st Air-Naval Gunfire Liaison Company, calls for air support while Lance Cpl. Aaron Figueroa, a fire support man with 1st ANGLICO, provides security during a patrol in Nahr-e Saraj District, Helmand province, Aug. 9. The patrol’s ground forces and AH-1W Super Cobra helicopters coordinated a Hellfire missile strike on an insurgent compound as well as gun runs which allowed friendly forces to maneuver out of insurgent fire after battling for more than 30 minutes. Cunningham is a native of Indialantic, Fla., while Figueroa is from Chicago.
