In honor of the 60th anniversary of the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD), the Oklahoma Legislature passed a concurrent resolution recognizing the partnership between Canada and the state of Oklahoma. A ceremony was held at the Oklahoma History Center May 9. Holding the resolution is Acting Consul-General of Canada, Mr. Vasken Khabayan from the Canadian Conulate in Dallas, Texas. From left are Master Warrant Officer Lisa Powers, 552nd Air Control Wing Canadian Detachment; Col. Geoffrey Weiss, commander, 552nd ACW; Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin; Khabayan; Lt. Col. Donald Saunders, commander, 552nd ACW Canadian Detachment and 552nd ACW Command Chief Master Sgt. Mark Hurst.
