Juan Rodriguez Jr., right, a mechanic with Company B, 299th Brigade Support Battalion, 2nd “Dagger” Advise and Assist Brigade, 1st Infantry Division, United States Division – Center and a McAllen, Texas, native, Aug. 20, 2011 at Camp Liberty, Iraq. Rodriguez, who has helped to complete 25 technical inspections and more than 50 repairs on vehicles, was recognized for excellence in his role during the brigade’s deployment in support of Operation New Dawn.
