Indiana Army National Guard Spc. Joshua Rather, Indianapolis, a 438th Chemical Company hazardous material specialist, hammers a stake during 81st Troop Command's emergency response unit validation training Aug. 22, at Camp Atterbury, Ind. "I think it's going to go well," he said of the validation set for Aug. 26. "We've had extensive training, just a little bit of buttoning of up and fine tuning. Everybody is job efficient." The response unit is a mix of Air and Army Guard troops throughout Indiana and known as the 19th CERFP or Chemical, Biological, Nuclear, Radiological and high-yield Explosive Enhanced Response Force Package.
