Retired Army Maj. Gen. Donna Dacier prepares to promote her former soldier, Army Col. (P) Christopher R. Kemp, to the rank of brigadier general at the RSA Towers in Montgomery, Ala., Aug. 20. Dacier said it was an honor to promote someone who served with her and sacrificed so much for his country. Currently, Brig. Gen. Kemp is the commanding general for the 359th Theater Tactical Signal Brigade, which is a reserve signal unit headquartered at Fort Gordon, Ga.
