TAJI MILITARY COMPLEX, Iraq - Boxes of cluttered parts and unorganized shelves of equipment stack against the walls of a conex in the 1st Battalion, 126th Aviation Regiment (GSAB) Aircraft Large Area Maintenance bay prior to the completion of Operation Clean Sweep at the Taji Supply Support Activity area of operation Nov. 30, 2017. Soldiers assigned to the 1-126th GSAB, 248th Aviation Support Battalion and the 7th Squadron, 17th Cavalry Regiment became the Operation Clean Sweep team and worked for five months to organize, distribute and turn in excess equipment to the Taji SSA turning in 3,262 excess, unserviceable or damaged parts costing $50,868,538.
