"Come to the sound of my voice," said Indiana Army National Guard Spc. Derek Thrasher, a reconnaissance team member with 81st Troop Command's emergency response unit search and rescue element, as he directs ambulatory casualties during a training exercise at Camp Atterbury, Ind., Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2011. The joint Air and Army Guard unit known as the 19th CERFP or Chemical, Biological, Nuclear, Radiological and high-yield Explosive Enhanced Response Force Package went through four days of validation training. The unit, which responds to civil emergencies, is expected to be certified mission ready by October 2011.
