Soldiers assigned to the 143rd Airborne Infantry Regiment from the Texas and Rhode Island National Guards, attached to the 173rd Airborne Brigade based out of Vicenza, Italy, conducted an air insertion exercise June, 11 2018, with members of the Israeli Defense Forces, the Italian Armed Forces and the Polish Army for exercise Swift Response. Exercise Swift Response 18 in an annual U.S. Army Europe-led multinational exercise being held in Latvia, Lithuania and Poland. Swift Response 18 provides a vital joint and multinational training opportunity that allows command and control of complex operations from dispersed locations while ensuring that participating forces work together seamlessly to bring the full weight of the joint and combined team to bear – wherever and whenever needed.
