Airmen from the 179th Airlift Wing, Mansfield, Ohio, conduct Ability to Survive and Operate, or ATSO training course, June 4, 2018, held at the Alpena Combat Readiness Traning Center, Alpena, Michigan. The Airmen don Mission Oriented Protective Posture (MOPP) protective gear used by U.S. military personnel in a toxic environment during a chemical, biological, radiological, or nuclear (CBRN) strike. Rotating through stations, Airmen train how to correctly put on MOPP gear and help others put it on, medical Self-Aid Buddy Care, correct decontamination procedures and how to give a detailed report to security personnel about any suspicious people or activities.
